Next Nexus 7 Specifications Leaked

The Nexus 7 in 2012 set a new unprecedented field for 7-inch tablets. It shows other companies that small tablets are the new thing, and that price point truly does matter. The Nexus 7 featured a 7-inch display, Android 4.1 JellyBean, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, 3G, and a myriad of other perks. The best part, it retailed for $199. This inspired other companies like Amazon, and Apple to make other competing tablets in this field. Today, an ASUS rep inadvertently leaked the next Nexus 7 specifications. We don’t know the price yet, but it will be released in late July. The specifications include a 7-inch display, Android 4.3, a screen resolution of 1920 by 1200, a 5MP rear-camera, LTE, and a Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU. Pretty sweet, huh?

We’re super excited for the next iteration of Google’s line, but the price is crucial. If they can sell it again for $199, it will be a hit. What do you think of the…

  1. Apple in my eyes is losing ground since there are tablets that can do more and are more powerful for less money. The only reason people still buy their crap is because the have the stores like Verizon put it in the front and make deals on it with contacts.

  2. I still see the iPad taking the crown. Specifications don't mean much, it's all about the user-experience. If a dual-core CPU iPad is more smooth and a better experience over a quad-core CPU Nexus 7 (or any Android tablet), specs can theoretically show the Nexus 7 as the superior tablet, but realistically the iPad would take the crown, and the market. Apple has the tablet market pretty much locked down.
