  1. @linustechtips Interesting. I am from Singapore myself and reside in Canada. I personally have bad experience at Sim Lim and it's crappy because unlike Canada, you can't return goods

  2. I do wish people would do just a little reading on how WiFi actually works before reconfiguring things (this comment not aimed at Linus).

    The 2.4GHz analysis shown in this vid is absolutely typical. A bunch of stuff on channel 1 then clearly other APs on both channels 2 and 3. That's just really not useful.

    APs on the same channel will (well ~should~) collaborate to manage the time sharing of that channel's frequencies (802.11n fair scheduling).

    When picking what channel to set your 2.4GHz WiFi AP to, please stick to channels 1, 6 and 11 (or 13 if available in your region). These channels do not overlap in frequency – just choose the one with the least existing APs already on it (unless you know one AP is really heavily used by multiple clients – then stay off that ones channel).
